Commissioned by flutist Lisa Bost for the trio Collective Set. Premiered by Gail Levinsky, Reuben Councill, and Marcos Kreiger on March 5, 2010, at the Biennial Conference of the North American Saxophone Alliance at the University of Georgia.

The 2016 version for flute, clarinet, and piano was premiered by the Silverwind Duo (Nicole McPherson & Andrew Seigel) and Matthew Quayle on November 23, 2016, at NYU Abu Dhabi.
