Commissioned by flutist Claire Chase for her ambitious senior project at Oberlin Conservatory. Premiered under conductor Tim Weiss, Oberlin, April 2000. This concert led to the later formation of the International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE). Horoscope was also featured in the Music 2000 festival in Cincinnati.
